Our culture and values

Taking off together means for us that we all feel like part of a larger whole, regardless of the area or level. We support every individual in our company and address specific talents and needs. Only in this way can we deliver top performance and be proud of our technical quality standards

All our actions are based on three fundamental guiding principles.

THE PASSION TO MAKE AVIATION BETTER

Aviation is not just our business. For us, flying is the most fascinating form of mobility. This passion unites us. With our pioneering spirit, we are making aviation safer, more sustainable and more modern. This is how we want to improve ourselves, our industry and our team every day.

PRIDE IN TECHNICAL QUALITY

We are proud of our expertise and our high-quality products. We strive for excellence and set international standards in all our areas. This aspiration enables us to create secure and future-orientated jobs. For us, sensible growth and stability is a mandatory prerequisite for exploring new territory and our responsibility as an employer.

THE GOAL OF GROWING TOGETHER

Collegiality and fairness are at the heart of our cultural mission statement. Worldwide, we value long-term relationships and mutual trust. Cohesion makes us strong. Diversity is important to us. This applies both to the diversity of our employees and to our different qualifications. Whether training or further education, whether employees or managers - we support and promote all people in our workforce so that they can realise their full potential.

Sustainability is a key corporate objective for us

We are all part of this earth, and therefore one of our top priorities is to protect the earth for the future of generations to come. To achieve this goal, we need to make the MRO industry more sustainable through various strategies:

We operate one of the most efficient production networks in the aviation industry and continuously reduce our own environmental footprint. With innovative products such as AeroShark, Cyclean® Engine Wash, AVIATAR Fuel Analytics and many more, we help our airline customers to achieve their ambitious sustainability goals. With our Hydrogen Aviation Lab, we continue to shape the future of aviation and research how hydrogen-powered aircraft can be handled and maintained in the future.

Away from our day-to-day operations, our employees are also vocally committed to social sustainability in our local communities and around the world.

In our sustainability brochure you will find more examples of how we are already changing aviation and how we want to make it more environmentally friendly in the future.

Our diversity gives us drive

We believe that variety and diversity are real strengths that drive us forward. That's why we like to work in a wide variety of teams and give our employees enough room for their individual talents and passions. This allows everyone to learn from the experience and knowledge of others, broaden their own horizons and keep growing. With various networks and communities, we offer platforms for exchanging ideas about shared interests and topics close to our hearts and creating something together that is more than just a job.

We stand for respect and the recognition of diversity. We want to promote a working environment in which all employees can develop their talents regardless of their sexual orientation or identity - without fear of discrimination. We support mutual understanding and want to break down prejudices.

"Excellence has no gender" is the motto of the Female Network by and for colleagues of the Lufthansa Technik Group. The community has set itself the task of giving a voice to the topic of diversity with a focus on gender equality within the company. With various event formats, the community encourages networking and knowledge exchange, among other things.

The topics covered by the initiative range from balancing work and family life to parenting tips and organisational support. Originally launched by a group of fathers, our family network is a platform for all employees who want to exchange ideas on the subject of family and parenthood.

Trying out new sports - with friends and colleagues. The LSCs in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich and Cologne are the right place for this. In addition to the classics such as football, handball and volleyball, there are over 30 different sports, including smaller disciplines such as golf, skiing, paragliding and diving. Training, competitions and sports trips are all organised voluntarily by colleagues.

Founded by committed Lufthansa Group employees, the Help Alliance works with local partners to create prospects for children, teenagers and young adults worldwide. The projects focus on the areas of education and the promotion of income-generating measures to enable young people to lead self-determined and independent lives.

"Volunteering for Hamburg" is the motto of the Nordstern Community, which organises social campaigns and fundraising activities in Hamburg and the surrounding area. The activities are hands-on and all colleagues are invited to do good together, have fun and grow as a community.
