• New Passenger Service System (PSS) for central cabin functions of the all-new Phenom 100EX 

Embraer Executive Jets and Lufthansa Technik have recently expanded their existing cooperation in the field of cabin management systems. In the future, the MRO company's renowned Original Equipment Innovation and Special Aircraft Services branch will supply the central Passenger Service System (PSS) for Embraer’s new Phenom 100EX model. The recently modernized interior of the latter was presented to the public for the first time ahead of the Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition of the American National Business Aviation Association (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas.  

The PSS integrates several central control functions that allow passengers to adjust the numerous comfort features in the cabin of the Phenom 100EX to their individual preferences. These include controls for reading, table and cabin lighting, and the regulation of the temperature in the cabin. Illuminated ordinance signs provide safety indications such as Fasten Seat Belts and No Smoking. Touch-sensitive lavatory light and toilet flush switches complete the system, providing both status and function to passengers. 

The central user interface for all these functions is provided by the Upper Tech Panel (UTP) developed and produced by Lufthansa Technik. Its elegant design features a polycarbonate face with hidden integrated LED lighting and capacitive touch controls. Passenger air vents are stylishly integrated in the UTP design and complement the overall cabin design of the Phenom 100EX. Thus, they are building a bridge to the modern cabin operating philosophy of the popular Phenom 300E through the implementation of Embraer’s Design DNA.

The Phenom 100EX will be on display at Embraer’s static display at Henderson Executive Airport during NBAA-BACE 2023 in Las Vegas. Lufthansa Technik’s cabin design and production experts will be available for more insights at booth number C12613. 

About the Phenom 100EX

The Phenom 100EX is an entry-level jet that represents the epitome of comfort, operational versatility and single-pilot-friendly technology. The aircraft features impressive ramp appeal with the most complete airstair in its class, largest entrance door, and the roomiest and most accessible baggage compartment. In addition to a high-speed cruise of 406 knots and a four-occupant range of 1,178 nautical miles (2,182 km) with NBAA IFR reserves, the entry-level jet is capable of speeds up to Mach 0.70. Benefiting from the family’s reputation for high utilization and low maintenance costs, the entry-level jet is also one of the greenest dual-engine jets on the market, culminating in a versatile aircraft built to offer the highest level of operational flexibility.
