Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon (LTTS) specializes in the repair of components for both high pressure and low pressure turbines for CFMI and GE aircraft engines. It is part of our EPAR (Engine Parts & Accessories Repair) network. The company is licensed by the engine OEMs General Electric and CFMI to carry out repairs in accordance with their engine shop manuals. This makes LTTS unique as one of a small number of companies outside of the engine manufacturers who are licensed to carry out repairs.
Their expertise and focus is on the repair of high pressure turbine (HPT) shrouds, high and low pressure turbine Nozzle Guide Vanes (HPT & LPT NGVs) from the CFM56 series, CF6-80C2 and CF34 type engines.
Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon is utilizing state-of-art equipment including a fully automated chemical cleaning facility as well as a modern molten salt cleaning line and a platinum plating line to support the full range of OEM approved repairs.
Repair development is a core value within the EPAR network and also for Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon. Over the recent past LTTS has developed many repairs that deliver substantial costs savings such as Airfoil Replacement Repair (AFR) of CFM56-3 and CF6-80C2 HPT Nozzles and Internal Environmental Coating of CF6-80C2 LPT nozzles.
