In creating an automated scarfing robot system for radome repairs, Dr. Henrik Schmutzler and his colleagues had two goals in mind: relieving maintenance crews from the stressful overhead grinding tasks, and heightening efficiency thanks to the automated process that offers a much higher repair volume in the same amount of time.
